It’s one thing for America to go through troubled economic times, but when our elected leaders are corrupt I just can’t find it in myself to watch the news.  I long for simpler times of life when Mad Magazine was my main source of entertainment.  I think I’ll head to the bookstore and subscribe again….

Des Moines Weekly Real Estate Statistics 5/30/08

Ahhh the end of the month!  Many buyers choose to close near the end of the month when purchasing a home.  There are reasons to close at other times of the month (less competition for closing times with  your lender for one) but it seems that even REALTORS® look for that magic “month end” date when writing an offer.  As a result, this weeks statistics show an increase in closed properties.

A New Adventure Begins

Blog VoiceI have said that until I felt that I had found “my blog voice” that I would not jump into the blogging arena. 

The time is now to take the plunge and head down that path of blogging that others have done before me.  I’ve read hundreds and hundreds of blogs during the past several months.   My goal was to hopefully learn what makes a good blog.. one that is interesting and that fulfills a purpose.
So what is my blog voice?  Time will surely tell, but I want to share stories, news and dare I say… my opinion on matters.  I will also share my hobby and love for photography from time to time.  My blog posts will always be open for replies. 

If I am successful in this endeavor, it will be my pleasure to continue.  I hope that my success will be your enjoyment.
